Competition for Market Price in Temazepam Tabs 10mg 28

Jun 16, 2022 | Generics

In recent days the market price for Temazepam Tabs 10mg 28 has risen from a May average of £0.97 to £2.76. This seems to have been triggered by the loss of 2 or the 4 manufacturers, one in 2018 and the second in 2021. This often happens because the market price falls to a point at which they can no longer see any profit in the product, and decide not to manufacture any more.
Temazepam Tabs 10mg 28 is also a product subject to periodic price rises, the first in May 2013, a second in December 2018 and a third which seems to be happening right now. This suggests a three or six year cycle, and the low price which initiates a rise £2.40 before the first rise, £0.99 before the second and £0.80 in January this year.
Interestingly, before the first (and biggest) price rise, prices were stable at below £1.00 until Jan 2007 when they rose and stabilised at between £1.00 and £3.00. However, in early 2012 they fell again to $1.60. So, perhaps it was this that convinced manufacturers to withdraw and triggered the first price peak.
This suggests that for Temazepam Tabs 10mg 28 average market prices of £1.60 or below is the factor which triggers a shortage and a price spike.
